The quick answer

Best overall · 9.3/10Luvele Deluxe PRO LDPVS140WAUS — 85 kPa claimed suction, dual seals, integrated roll handling, pulse control and the strongest exact-model Australian owner evidence here.Read verdict
Best value / best for sous vide · 9.1/10Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer Pro ANVS02-AU00 — double sealing, wet/dry and pulse controls, roll storage and a batch-oriented design for about $220–$239.Read verdict
Best proven everyday pick · 8.8/10Luvele Supreme LSVS130GAU — strong claimed suction, useful household controls and extensive exact-model owner evidence, with a cooldown trade-off.Read verdict
These machines are not interchangeable: the Deluxe PRO is the strongest overall batch package, the Anova Pro delivers double sealing and repeated-use hardware at a much lower price, and the Supreme prioritises proven everyday ownership over maximum batch speed. All three are external edge sealers, not chamber machines.

How we chose

We compared current Australian models on exact SKU, seal controls, single versus double seals, batch use, wet-food handling, bag compatibility, warranty, stock and owner evidence. Worth Buying scores are research-based editorial judgements; customer ratings and maker or retailer claims remain separately attributed.

ProductReview owners★★★★★ 4.9 / 589 reviews for the exact model · 99% positive and 1% negative · checked 17 Sep 2026
Best forAustralians who seal regularly, particularly bulk meat, fish, meal-prep portions and food for sous vide.

The Deluxe PRO combines an 85 kPa stated vacuum, 140W motor, dual sealing strip and pulse/manual control with built-in roll storage and a cutter. Its double seal adds useful insurance for freezer storage and sous vide, while dry/moist and normal/gentle-style controls suit a broader range of foods.

Luvele claims its Smart Seal Technology supports up to 100 consecutive seals without overheating. That is a manufacturer claim, not independent laboratory verification, but it gives the model a clearer heavy-batch purpose than most household machines. Upright storage and 20m of included bag roll help offset its substantial size.

What owners say

ProductReview displayed 4.9/5 from 89 exact-model reviews, with 99% positive versus 1% negative. Owners repeatedly praise reliable sealing, bulk-meat performance, double-seal confidence, easy operation and after-sales support. This is the strongest exact-model Australian-style evidence in the shortlist, though it does not guarantee every unit's durability.

Pros

  • 85 kPa stated vacuum
  • Dual sealing strip
  • Built-in roll storage and cutter
  • Pulse/manual control
  • Designed for longer batches
  • Very strong exact-model evidence
  • Two-year warranty

Cons

  • About $320
  • Large and heavy
  • Narrow specialist distribution
  • Overkill for occasional users
  • 100-seal figure is a maker claim
Buy it ifYou regularly portion bulk meat, fish or meal prep and value double seals and extended batch capability.
Skip it ifYou only seal occasionally or need a smaller, cheaper major-retailer machine.

Best forSous-vide users and value-focused buyers who want double sealing, useful manual control and a machine designed for repeated sealing without paying premium Luvele money.

The Australian ANVS02-AU00 listing—underlying model 251760—packs near-premium hardware into a low-$200s machine. It combines a 110W system, double sealer, built-in roll storage and cutter, wet and dry modes, pulse/manual control, an accessory port and hose, and a one-handed locking design.

Kitchen Warehouse quotes about 12L/min air extraction and says it can manage 100 continuous vacuum seals; Anova and Australian retailers position it for heavy repeat use. These are maker/retailer claims, not Worth Buying lab results. Serious Eats also selected the Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer Pro as its top vacuum sealer after comparative testing—useful professional context kept separate from Australian customer feedback.

What owners say

Kitchen Warehouse displayed 4.8/5 from 19 reviews, with verified purchasers visible. Positive comments repeatedly mention strong vacuuming, easy operation, the integrated cutter, double-seal confidence and suitability for sous vide. This is encouraging exact-product Australian retailer feedback, but the sample is much smaller than either Luvele model and stock can fluctuate.

Pros

  • Excellent hardware for $219.95–$239
  • Double sealing
  • Built-in roll storage and cutter
  • Wet/dry and pulse controls
  • Batch-oriented design
  • Accessory port and hose
  • Two-year warranty

Cons

  • Australian stock can be intermittent
  • Smaller local review pool than Luvele
  • No reliable kPa figure for direct comparison
  • Moist mode does not make it a chamber sealer
  • Retailer dimensions can be inconsistently labelled
Buy it ifYou want double seals, sous-vide-friendly controls and strong repeated-sealing hardware around the low-$200s.
Skip it ifYou need consistently available local stock or place more weight on a very large exact-model Australian owner base.

Luvele Supreme LSVS130GAU

ProductReview owners★★★★★ 4.8 / 5160 reviews for the exact model · 98% positive · checked 17 Sep 2026
Best forOrdinary household vacuum sealing where extensive exact-model Australian owner evidence matters more than maximum batch speed.

The Supreme combines an 85 kPa stated vacuum, 130W motor, built-in storage and cutter, dry/moist modes, normal/gentle control, manual vacuum/stop, a canister connection and 20m of bag roll. Its large Australian owner-review base makes it the most proven everyday choice here.

The compromises matter for heavy work. It has a single seal and a meaningful cooldown requirement between repeated seals, so its hardware is less compelling than the Anova Pro at similar money. Luvele's current Australian warranty wording is internally inconsistent, so confirm the exact written term before purchase.

What owners say

ProductReview displayed 4.8/5 from 160 exact-model reviews, with 98% positive and 2% negative. Build Quality was 4.5, Value for Money 4.4 and Ease of Use 4.5. Positive feedback centres on reliable sealing and practical features; negative reports include cooldown delays, force needed to latch the lid and latch or plastic wear after long ownership.

Pros

  • 85 kPa stated vacuum
  • Materially cheaper than Deluxe PRO
  • Built-in storage and cutter
  • Moist, gentle and manual controls
  • 20m roll included
  • Extensive exact-model evidence

Cons

  • Single seal
  • Cooldown required between repeated seals
  • Current warranty wording is inconsistent
  • Lid may take force to latch
  • Some long-term wear complaints
Buy it ifYou want serious household features and strong owner evidence without the Deluxe PRO price.
Skip it ifYou regularly process very large batches or want a double seal and two-year warranty.

Edge sealers, chamber sealers and liquids

All three recommendations are external edge sealers: they draw air from textured bags before sealing the open edge. Chamber machines evacuate a whole chamber and handle liquids more easily, but are larger and costlier. For moist food, use the moist mode, leave extra bag length, keep the seal area dry and pre-freeze free liquid where practical; stop immediately if liquid approaches the pump.

Seal quality, double seals and batch use

A higher kPa claim does not guarantee a better finished seal; bag quality, heat consistency, seal width, moisture and technique matter. Luvele Deluxe and Anova add double seals for extra redundancy, while Luvele Supreme uses a single seal. Manufacturer and retailer consecutive-seal figures are claims rather than our endurance test. The Supreme manual requires cooldown after extended use, so it is less suitable for uninterrupted bulk sessions.

Bags, running costs and sous vide

External sealers generally require textured or channelled rolls and bags. Check width limits, roll storage, cutter convenience and replacement-bag prices because consumables shape long-term cost. All three can prepare sous-vide bags when the correct heat-safe material is used and seals are clean and complete; a double seal can add reassurance but does not replace good preparation.

Vacuum sealing does not sterilise food

Keep perishable food refrigerated or frozen as appropriate. Vacuum sealing may slow some quality loss, but it does not make unsafe food safe or replace the cold chain. Follow current Food Standards Australia New Zealand guidance.

Which one should you buy?

Choose the Luvele Deluxe PRO LDPVS140WAUS for the strongest overall combination of double sealing, batch capability and established exact-model Australian owner evidence.

Choose the Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer Pro ANVS02-AU00 for the best value and the strongest sous-vide fit: double sealing, wet/dry and pulse controls, integrated roll handling and repeated-use hardware for about $220–$239.

Choose the Luvele Supreme LSVS130GAU when extensive local owner evidence and solid everyday household sealing matter more than long batch speed.

Useful FAQs

Is a vacuum sealer worth buying for meat?

It can reduce freezer burn, improve portioning and prepare food for sous vide, provided bag costs and storage space suit your household.

Is Anova or Luvele better for sous vide?

Anova is the best-value sous-vide choice because it combines double sealing, wet/dry and pulse controls and repeated-use hardware. Luvele Deluxe is the stronger premium all-rounder with much more exact-model Australian owner evidence.

Why does a vacuum bag lose its seal?

Common causes include moisture or wrinkles across the seal, unsuitable bags, food near the edge, weak heat contact or a puncture.

Can I vacuum seal liquids?

Edge sealers can draw liquid towards the pump. Pre-freeze liquids or use a chamber sealer for frequent liquid-heavy work.

Does vacuum sealing make food safe at room temperature?

No. It does not sterilise food or make perishable food shelf-stable; safe refrigeration, freezing and cooking rules still apply.
